What Your Donations Support

OLLI.chat and helpline 1770

Over the last four years, Richmond Foundation responded to 20,000 calls on the 1770 helpline and responded to 7,000 chats for help on OLLI.chat. Both our helpline and help chat are available for free to anyone experiencing mental health difficulties. Our professionals offer emotional support as well as practical guidance Monday to Saturday from 8am to 8pm.

Richmond Foundation requires €120,000 annually to sustain these services.

Gift of Therapy

For many, the cost of therapy—averaging €50 per session—is an unaffordable barrier to getting the help they desperately need. Our Gift of Therapy initiative offers a lifeline, allowing individuals facing financial struggles to access free, professional mental health support. By contributing, you can help change lives and bring hope to those in their darkest moments.

We require €110,000 annually to sustain this service and ensure therapy remains accessible to those who need it most.

Empower a child

Every child deserves the chance to thrive, yet many in foster care face unimaginable challenges. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive support to these children, ensuring access to essentials like nutritious meals, healthcare, education, clothing, and emotional enrichment through toys, outings, and celebrations. Each child’s care costs €13,000 annually, covering their physical, emotional, and developmental needs.Your generosity can transform lives, giving these children hope, stability, and opportunities to dream and grow.

We require €130,000 annually to cover the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of 10 children a year.

Dar Tereża - helping mothers and their children

Dar Tereża was established to enable mothers to continue living with their children while receiving mental health support. Through our CommunitySupport Services, we empower these mothers to manage their lives within their own environment, fostering independence and a better quality of life. Your support can help us create a brighter future or these mothers and their children.

We require €100,000 annually to sustain a dedicated team of mental health workers who provide essential care and guidance.

Additionally, €60,000 annually is needed to cover operational costs for ten individuals, including food, utilities, toiletries, and other necessities.

Projects in hostels and community-supported living units and transport

Richmond Foundation manages hostels and community-supported living units across various localities in Malta, providing safe and supportive environments for individuals in need. To ensure these spaces remain functional, comfortable, and welcoming, regular maintenance, equipment and furniture replacements, and refurbishments are essential.

We require €120,000 annually to sustain these efforts, ensuring our facilities continue to provide a high standard of care and support.

We also need to acquire two electric cars to be used for transporting clients to appointments such as hospital and medical appointments.
